Rice Water Benefits for Face and Hair. Rice and Rice Water in a Bowl.

1. Rice Face Scrub

Rice Face Scrub is best for exfoliating your skin, removing dead skin cells, blackheads and white heads from your face. It also helps in removing impurities from clogged skin pores. I found my skin so smooth after using it and highly recommending you to give it a try.

Preparation Process:

  • Take 2 tbsp of rice in a bowl and soak it in half cup of water for 10 minutes

  • Strain out the soaked rice using sieve from water and crush it to make a thick paste

  • Add 1/2 to 1 tbsp of raw milk into it (Do not over add milk as we do not want to make a runny paste, it should be in thick consistency)

Application:

  • Scrub your face and neck very gently using this rice face scrub for about a minute

  • Once you are done with scrubbing, leave it on your face for 15 minutes

  • Wash your face with lukewarm water

  • Apply any moisturizer after it

2. Fermented Rice Water for Face/Hair

Anything in fermented form is actually more healthy and nutritious because of the presence of probiotic bacteria in it. Fermented rice water is rich in anti-oxidants, amino acids, vitamins and anti-inflammatory properties which are very useful in regenerating skin cells, reducing acne from skin and fading ageing signs.

It is also very beneficial for your hair and helps in hair re-growth and conditioning.

Preparation Process:

  • Take 1 cup of rice in a bowl and rinse it well for removing dirt and impurities

  • Soak it in 3 cups of water for about 1 hour (Not required to keep fix measurements)

  • Once the water became white cloudy, strain out this water from rice and keep it in another clean pot

  • Cover the pot filled with rice water with a clean cloth

  • Leave it for 1-2 days to make the rice water in fermented form

Application for Face:

  • Take this fermented rice water and dilute it with Rose water or Gulabari

  • Dab a cotton ball in it and use it as a cleanser by wiping your face with this cotton ball

  • Another way would be, after diluting the fermented rice water, shift it into a spray bottle and store it in refrigerator

  • Spray the rice water everyday on your face like a toner

Application for Hair:

  • Take the fermented rice water and dilute it by adding more plain water in it (If you take one cup of fermented rice water then add 2 cups of plain water in it for diluting)

  • After doing Shampoo, rinse your hair with this water to use it as a conditioner
